JOB OVERVIEW

A JB Collections Attorney is a lawyer who represents clients in volume-based collection matters. The Collections Attorney is familiar with the litigation process in and out of court. They must be dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for their client, while effectively and efficiently handling a large amount of cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partnering with paralegal team to support the high-volume needs of our Collections practice: Triaging complications within matters, serving as the quality control for the matter, execute throughout the entire lifecycle of each matter
• Representing clients in court during hearings and trial proceedings
• Handle consumer and commercial debt collection caseload throughout the State of Georgia
• Draft, review, and approve pleadings, motions, and executions. Handle and attend court matters including contested hearings and trials in person and via Zoom

QUALIFICATIONS

• Barred in Georgia
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Collections
• Experience working a high volume of matters, with consistency in work product while supporting several clients at a time
• Minimum 2 years of experience attending hearings for Collections matters
• A competitive mindset who will advocate on behalf of clients
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Process and detail orientation are key – the ability to follow process while proactively seeking ways to make processes more efficient
